LEAP's work in Llangynidr

LEAP - recycling at Llangynidr show

LEAP - litter pickYou may have seen some of our members out and about picking up litter along the local roads, on the canal and on the riverbank. That's just one of our regular projects.

We've also organised walks to inspect the Glaisfer Hydro Scheme and talks by experts on reducing emissions – including talks from a hydro generation expert from The Green Valleys, a community interest company set up in 2009 in the Brecon Beacons National Park to promote the reduction of emissions in communities around the national park.

We've also had access to a thermal-imaging camera which measures where heat leaks from homes – so we've been surveying homes around the village and offering advice on insulation and draught prevention. .
